I am getting excited to see all the projects students have been working on and how they applied the scientific process. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email.
Midwest Region
We have journeyed to the Midwest Region of the United States in our Lead21 texts. The students have learned how the economy relies heavily on the waterways that are part of the geographical features in the Midwest region. We also read about the Homesteaders who agreed to farm land. We will be reviewing visualizing, identifying important details, making predictions, and monitoring comprehension during this unit on the Central Region.
Simplest Form and Common Denominators
The students have started simplifying fractions and comparing fractions using common denominators during math. The students looked at how we can use division to simplify fractions and how we can use common multiples as a way to determine common denominators in order to compare two fractions. The assignment notebook code is for the students to identify the simplest form of the fraction 9/36. I hope you all have a great night and I look forward to another great day of learning!
