I was introduced to an iPad app called Adobe Voice. This free app allows students to create a professional video with pictures, voice, and background music. My attempts to try to get the Atlantic States videos recorded using Movie Maker did not work; therefore, the students were introduced to the app by recording their Atlantic States videos using the Adobe Voice app. The students will finalize their videos next week and show them to the class. We have also decided to use this app to record our Central Region inquiry using the Adobe Voice.
Energy Transfer
We are continuing our unit on energy as we become experts on one form of energy transfer. The students will be presenting their information using a Web 2.0 tool Thing Link. We will be creating an interactive image that will display 3 components: 1.) Describe the energy source/transfer in kid friendly language. 2.) How does the energy help humans? 3.) What are some examples of how we use the energy. The students have started their projects and will be finishing the projects on Monday.
State Reports
YAHOO! Our journey begins. Students have started their state reports by researching the state symbols and basic facts. We discussed the importance of a bibliography and have started writing our sources in correct format. The students have created one Google Doc that we will use to take notes throughout the project. All assignments and documents will be created using Google Classroom. The assignment notebook code for tonight is for the students to identify one fact they have learned about their state. I hope you all have a great weekend and I look forward to another great week of learning!
