All fourth grades students in the United States have the opportunity to receive a free pass to parks in the U.S for 2015 - August of 2016. The students started looking at how they can help conserve the land, water, and historic sites. The students will have a brochure coming home tomorrow in their Tuesday folders explaining how they can access this pass and how to access the rules.
Unit 11 Spelling Sort
The spelling list for next week has been posted on the website. We will be going over more words with the vowel+/r/ sounds. We have discussed how we can sort the words and the patterns we notice after we sorted the words.
PLTW Colliding Cars
CRASH! We continued exploring with collisions today as we modified the cars and observed how the modifications impacted the collisions. We will discuss types of collisions next week and how we can describe these collisions.
Quilting History with Mrs. Deborah
The students learned that quilts are used for many reasons. The quilts provide a warm blanket to cuddle up in, decoration for our walls, and they were used for padding when knights wore their armor. The assignment notebook code for tonight is for the students to identify one way quilts are used.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving break. I am so very thankful for this group of students. It is a joy to come to school every day and learn with these students!
