The students have been busy showing what they know in reading, writing, and mathematics. The students continued taking their Lead21 Quarterly Benchmark today. I am impressed with the dedication the students are giving to make sure they are exhibiting what they have learned throughout their time in third grade. Once we are done with the reports, I will send home a quick summary of what the reports show and what we can do as a team in order for each student to grow.
The students finished reading about the peopling of the United States today by reading how the Asian Americans came to the U.S. We have enjoyed learning how different groups of people have come to North America and how our daily traditions have been influenced by these groups.
We continue to practice and use our multiplication strategies. The students are doing well with understanding the concept of multiplying by 2-digit numbers; however, they will need more guided and independent practice to show mastery of this concept.
Our word of the day today was exhibit. The students were very excited that we finally were able to learn about this word. The assignment notebook code for tonight is for the students to identify how they exhibit their understanding. I hope you all have a great night and I look forward to another day of learning!
I am a fourth grade teacher going on my seventh year of teaching. I have truly loved every year that I have taught and I look forward to sharing classroom activities we take part in during this upcoming school year!
