- Pompey's Pillar is next Tuesday, June 2nd.
What a wonderful day of learning. The students finished the informational piece on The Wide-Open West today. We have learned so much about the history, culture, economy, and geography of our region. We will continue to read about our region in reading groups. The students have done an excellent job of applying all the reading skills we have learned this year.
We reviewed multiplication strategies today during our math time. The students quickly remembered the strategies that worked best for them and were able to apply these strategies during their independent work time. Tomorrow, the students will review division.
The students started to prepare for our Pompey's Pillar field trip as we started reading about the Lewis and Clark expedition. The assignment notebook code for tonight is for the students to identify one of the reasons President Thomas Jefferson wanted the trip to take place. I hope you all have a great night and I look forward to another great day of learning!
