We have a wonderful week planned with many. All students continue to amaze me as they perform random acts of kindness without seeking to have recognition. We are all loving the treats and kind acts making our lives even better.

Reading
The essential question this week in reading is: How can science help you understand how things work? Students will learn about forces in motion as they read narrative nonfiction texts. Students are able to easily engage in the topic as they learn about foces in motion in a story format.
Math
Students will take the chapter 1 knowledge demonstration to show proficiency with place-value, addition, and subtraction. As we complete chapter 1, students will begin learning about multiplication. Students will look at how we can use multiplicative comparison in solving problems.
Science
Our journey with energy continues as students apply their understanding of kinetic and potential energy. Students begin building their first model with their groups to demonstrate how a pendulum can show potential and kinetic energy.
Weekly Code
Students will need to explain their understanding of forces and motion as read in our weekly readers.
After Wednesday, students are to tell the multiplication equation for the multiplicative comparison statement: 4 times as many as 7 is _____.
I look forward to another wonder week of learning adventures!
