Note from Ms. Bauch:
Dear Parents,
Sadly, I am leaving your child's class as my student teaching has ended. I am off on a new adventure teaching high schoolers this week for my next student teaching placement! I had a wonderful time teaching your child and send my love with them for the rest of the school year and the next year. Parents, thank you os much for supporting the time I spend with your child when I was in the classroom and when teaching full time. I learned so much from your child and will take this experience with me when I start teacher at Skyview this week -- and eventually my own classroom! All these kiddos had such bright personalities and minds, and I will sorely miss them.
Best wishes,
Ms. Bauch
I sincerely thank everyone for all of your support as you supported Ms. Bauch during her time with us. The monetary contribution you made towards Ms. Bauch's gift card were so very kind as Ms. Bauch as we were able to give Ms. Bauch $60 at Barnes and Nobel.

Reading
We travel back in time this week as we look answer the question: What are some reasons people move west? Students will learn about this question through the genre of tall tales. Students will learn lessons through the larger than life heroes in the stories that have to experience the toils of the Oregon Trail. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to research toils experienced along the Oregon Trail.
Math
We are one "acute" class! This week, students will gain mastery in relating fractions to a circle, measuring angles, drawing angles, joining angles, and determining the measure of unknown angles. The unit is a quick unit and we will be onto multiplying fractions next week.
Science
Our focus on energy conversion as students finish building their treehouse project and begin the final project of making a machine that will use the least amount of force to transport "food" items off of a food truck to the food bank.
Weekly Code
1. Students are to share how the character in "Apples to Oregon" helps save the day on the Oregon Trail.
2. Students are to identify the 4 different angles.
