Greetings from the desk of Mrs. Gray!
My name is Alissa Gray and I will be your child's fourth grade teacher this upcoming year. I am honored and blessed to be a part of your child's education for the year to come. This will be my tenth year teaching. I have taught 6 years at Orchard Elementary and this is my forth year teaching at Arrowhead Elementary. My favorite grade to teach is fourth grade because of all of the exciting concepts that we learn in fourth grade. We will have an action packed year filled with learning, community building, and fun!
I graduated with my undergraduate degree from Eastern Washington University and I earned my Masters of Education in Reading and Mathematics from Walden University. I truly enjoy teaching all subjects; however, I have a strong passion for math, science, and educational technology. We will be using multiple technological devices this year as a way for all learners to grow leaps and bounds.
I grew up here in Billings and I have enjoyed establishing my own roots in my hometown. I am fortunate to have all of my immediate family living here in town. I enjoy camping and cooking with my parents. My brother, his wife, and 2 boys also live in Billings. My brother and I are twins and enjoy sharing our lives with each other. You will all have the opportunity to meet my mother when she comes into the classroom weekly to help our class sew a quilt for charity. I am married to the most wonderful guy, Mr. Gray and we just celebrated our sixth year anniversary this summer. We have one son, Devin, who is 2 years old. We also have a "fur kid" Molly who is a German Shorthair Pointer. When I am not teaching, I enjoy taking pictures of our beautiful world, reading, hiking, quilting, and running.
I cannot wait to get to know you and your family throughout this year. We will all learn from each other as we journey through an exciting fourth grade year.
