Reading
This week students will journey into the past as they look at history through an archeological eye. We will look at our past as we ask the question: How can learning about the past help you understand the present? We will look at many historical articles regarding the importance of archeological digs, Spanish beginnings in Florida, and using clues in an archeological dig to solve hidden mysteries.
Math
I am overwhelmingly proud of all the work students put forth as we are well on our way to mastering another learning target. Students have quickly picked up how to represent fractions as decimals. This week we will wrap up our chapter on decimals and move onto understanding fourth-grade measurement learning targets.
Science
We will complete our unit on converting energy this week as students test their food bank pantry project and complete an assessment on all of the energy concepts students have covered thus far this year.
Weekly Code
1. Students should identify one reason they will use in their final draft of their space opinion essay.
2. Solve the problem 56/100 + 3/10 = ?
