Elastic and Inelastic Collision Experiments
Specialists
P.E./Health
2nd Grade Buddies
We had a great day! The students gained a deeper understanding of elastic and inelastic collisions as the tested different collision scenarios with the VEX cars. Students have realized that elastic collisions are collisions that you can "bounce" off and loose no energy where as an inelastic collision cause you a transfer in energy often times being heat or sound. The assignment notebook code for tonight is for the students to identify one way in which they observed an inelastic collision with the VEX cars. The students should mention the cars colliding causing them to stick together and make a crashing sound. I hope to see you all at the Halloween Family Fun Night tonight. Have a great weekend and I look forward to another great week of learning!
