I am so very proud of all the students! We had 100% participation and some amazing projects! I can tell I have a class of scientists. It is very clear that the students have internalized the science process as they demonstrated their understanding of all the varying topics they experimented. I have included pictures of all the students and their projects for you to enjoy.
Ordering Fractions
We had a great whole class discussion on how we can use the strategies we have learned for comparing fractions as a way to order a set of fractions. The students did a great job with placing fractions on a number line and then using the number line as a resource to order the fractions from least to greatest.
South Central Region
The students have finished reading about the South Central region during our whole class reading group. As we read about the South Central region, we learned about the history, culture, geography, and economy of the area. The assignment notebook code for tonight is for the students to identify one fact they learned while reading about he region. The students should mention something about the crops that are grown (cotton, rice, corn), the resources from the Mississippi River and the Gulf of Mexico, and much more. I hope you all have a great night and I look forward to another great day of learning!
