The students are finishing up their assignments for chapter 2 today and tomorrow as we prepare for the chapter 2 test on Friday. We will continue completing all of chapter 2 work and look at how we can use the order of operations to solve a problem.
Kinetic and Potential Energy Questions
We are all on a roll with kinetic and potential energy! The students worked on our conclusion questions for the pendulum and car activities. The main idea each student was able to identify was an object that is higher up has more potential energy and thus will cause the object to have more speed as compared to an object that has a lower starting position.
Journey of Fallen Rock
We finished Journey of Fallen Rock today and are very excited to meet the author tomorrow. Bill Merical will join us tomorrow during our reading time from 8:30-9:30. The students will have an opportunity to hear the origin story of Fallen Rock's journey and will be able to ask Bill some questions. The assignment notebook code for tonight is for the students to write one question they would like to as Bill tomorrow. Have a wonderful night and I look forward to another great day of learning!
