Exploring Space
We learned how stories of the sky allowed people in the past to explain what they saw in the sky. The students learned about a Navajo legend that explained why the Earth has seasons. We also learned how the Greeks used myths to look at patterns in the sky. Furthermore, we learned how the Tsimshian and the Nigerians used stories to explain the tides, sun, and moon.
Interpreting Remainders
The students started to look at how we can understand our the remainders when in a word problem The students have done great job with identifying the remainders and how we can understand them. We will do the assignment tomorrow using the Think Central GoMath website.
Writing Professional Letters
We will take part in The Great Mail Race this week. Students will practice writing professional letters to identify important parts of our community in order to write letters to other students in states that are not in Montana. The assignment notebook code for tonight is for the students to identify one part of the letter. If the students forget, they may use the Game link in the assignment notebook portion of this website. I hope you all have a great night and I look forward to another great day of learning.
