The students started reading about the Atlantic States in our Lead21 curriculum. We have learned how the geography of the region impacts the economy of the region. We have also learned how the history and culture impact the region's economy. Many students have been very interested in how the region makes a lot of money off of the resources from the ocean.
I am so very proud of the tenacity being shown with each student. We are all figuring out the GoMath curriculum and the students are truly rock stars. We are now all getting the hang of multiplication how to do multiplication. I gave the students a chapter 2 test; however, the test was confusing and I am not going to grade it. I will be combining chapter 2 and 3 in one test.
The students have started the process for designing a restraint system for the egg. We have discussed the different types of collisions, how we can use a restraint system, and what materials the students can use. We will continue designing our restraint systems so we can test them when we get back from the break.
Northeast Region Website
The students will be creating a virtual scrapbook using Student Weebly. We have started learning about the Northeast Region. We will be journaling each day discussing what we would have seen. We have done a virtual tour so far of West Quoddy Head Lighthouse, Mount Washington, Plymouth, MA, and Boston, MA. I encourage students to show their website to their parents as we work on the website. The assignment notebook code for tonight is for the students to identify one fact they have learned about the Northeast region. Thank you all for all the support you give. I look forward to another great day of learning!
