Unit 3 question
The students practiced responding to a reading questioned by using evidence they read in the text and watched int he videos. The theme question for unit 3 was "How can we define the Atlantic States?" The students used their understanding of the structure of a paragraph and what they learned to type out their response. This is very similar to what they are asked to do on standardized tests and in their future careers.
History Reports
I have learned so much already about the history topics students have researched. The students will not have any more days to work on this in class and will be expected to have it turned in no later than Friday. The students must make sure they wrote the events in chronological order and used proper formatting for their paragraphs.
Exploring Space
It is very clear that the students share a passion for space! Our 20 minute reading time has turned into 30 - 35 minutes. We looked at how you can describe the movement of objects in space by looking at how they rotate and revolve. We also looked at why we have seasons on Earth and our solar system. The assignment notebook question for tonight is for the students to identify one fact they have learned so far on space. I hope you all have a great weekend and I look forward to another great week of learning!
