Reminder:
Mrs. Grewell came to the class today to discuss expectations and the itinerary for our field trip on Friday. the students will be able to bring 1 electronic device and/or a book for the 40 minute bus ride out to her ranch. We will get an opportunity to compare some of the old and modern farm equipment, see livestock, see the parts of a horse and care for a horse, see the Grewell's brand, and experience a branding lunch. The day will be a fun filled day of hands on learning. It will be important for students to be quiet and safe around all the animals as to avoid injury. Also, the students must be respectful of the Grewell ranch and their property. All students are excited to go on this field trip and I know I will not have any issues with any student.
We started reading about the Pacific region of the Western part of the United States. The students also had the opportunity to work on their Western region vacation today. The students are beginning to see the work that goes into planning a trip along with learning about the Western U.S.
The students also learned about the history of farming and ranching today. The assignment notebook code for today is for the students to identify one fact they learned about the history of farming and ranching. I hope you all have a great night and I look forward to another great day of learning!
