What another great day in our fourth grade class. I cannot believe how quickly this year has gone. Science Fair projects are due tomorrow. I will be grading the projects during the day so the students can take home their board at the end of the day. I am so very excited to see all of the hard work all students have put into their projects!
Today the students started the Lead21 unit on ecosystems. We will learn the parts of an ecosystem and the roles living and nonliving organisms play in each ecosystem. Students will work on making inferences, summarizing, making connections, and asking questions during this unit.
Students practiced using the protractor today as they made obtuse, right, and acute angles. We are working on using logic as a way to add and subtract angles. Students are given parts of an angle and must use their critical thinking skills as a way to determine the measurement of the whole angle or other parts of an angle.
The code for tonight is for the students to identify one result of their science fair project. I hope you all have a great night and I look forward to another great day of learning!
