A short, but busy and productive week in the classroom! We have moved on to fractions in math and look forward to starting our 5th unit in reading, The Heartland next week. Students also presented their biography reports this week. Everyone did a great job, and we all learned a lot! The SE continues to be our focus in social studies, and today we listened to the various music associated with this area including jazz, blues and cajun. In science we are in the midst of exploring speed and energy with PLTW.
Tomorrow we will be celebrating Valentine's Day with a classroom celebration. 4th graders should bring their decorated bag back tomorrow, and if they choose, bring Valentine wishes for the entire class as well. Tomorrow is also a HALF-DAY with dismissal at noon. No-school Friday or Monday! Enjoy the long weekend!
I am a fourth grade teacher going on my seventh year of teaching. I have truly loved every year that I have taught and I look forward to sharing classroom activities we take part in during this upcoming school year!
