What a wonderful day! The students are doing a great job with the beginning of spring testing and taking pride in all they have learned this year. I am so very proud of each student's accomplishments and I look forward to seeing more growth as we continue with Reading and Language NWEA tests.
The students started researching their animal today as they finished taking the NWEA test. It is so rewarding to see the students excited about their animal they have chosen and sharing information with each other as they learn fascinating facts. I look forward to seeing the products each student will create. The students will have a rubric tomorrow outline my expectations for their research, poster/diorama, and presentation.
I am so very proud of all of the hard work all of the students are putting towards our classroom quilt. We are getting to the point where several blocks are being put together and will enter the final touches within the month. I look forward to being able to complete the quilt.
The students will take the Midwest test tomorrow showing all that they have learned about the geography, economy, politics, and history of the Midwest. This test will be an open notes test; however, the students will be limited on the time they are given. The next region we will move to studying is the South West Region of the U.S. The students will have a new Capitals and States study guide that will come home next week.
The code for tonight is for the students to tell you the animal they will be studying during our unit 6 Lead21 inquiry projects. I hope you all have a great night and I look forward to another great day of learning!
