Today the students finished up their 3rd NWEA assessment in language. The students did a great job showing their best work. There are still some students who need to finish; however, the students are doing their best! The students did a great job today with the guest teacher Mrs. Mackenzie. I was gone for half day doing some planning and training for science.

Mrs. Deborah visited the classroom again today. We finished reading The Quilt Maker's Gift and discussed the importance of giving to those who need a quilt and not to those who want the quilt. The students are excited for next week when we will look at some quilting artifacts.

We started learning about the layers of the atmosphere today. The students learned the characteristics of all of the layers and how they help our Earth and cause weather.

The students read chapter 6 in Journey of Fallen Rock. The students read about how Fallen Rock got 2 more objects. The assignment notebook code for the night is for your student to tell you the 2 objects Fallen Rock retrieved. Enjoy your night and I look forward to another great day of learning. Rembember, tomorrow is a half day. S
