What a wonderful day! The students had an opportunity to experience the Ririe Woodbury Dance company at the end of the day. The students say how dance can be used to express what you are feeling and how we can understand dance through space, shape, time, and energy. There will be a nightly performance tomorrow, November 20th at the ABT.
We have finished all of the literature for the Lead21 unit 2 Living Green. The students will continue working on their inquiry project in order to present their environmental problems and solutions the Tuesday after Thanksgiving break. Students will need to practice their part of the presentation and be able to give their information in no less than 1 minute and no more than 2 minutes. I look forward to seeing how the students' creativity and passion comes out in these presentations.
The students continue to work on their 5 paragraph essay on living green. The students will start to look at how they can vary their word choice and sentence fluency in order to make their writing piece interesting for the reader. I expect the students to be finished with their essay no later than Tuesday, December 2nd.
We have finished our mini-inquiry project on the history of quilts. Mrs. Deborah and I are so very proud of the hard work each student put in for these presentations. We have learned many interesting facts about quilting. The assignment notebook code for tonight is for the students to share one piece of information they learned from another group's presentation.
