Tomorrow 4th graders will be taking the NAEP test. Please make sure your 4th grader gets a good night's rest, eats a well-balanced breakfast, and encourage them to do their best!! We will be testing from 830-10.
In the Tuesday envelope you will find an informational sheet regarding Big Sky Fit Kids. Our class will be taking part in this beginning now through May 1. Students will need to keep track of the amount of time they are active during the day as well as how many servings of fruit and vegetables they eat. Mrs. Gray has asked to have each student e-mail her their weekly results every Friday. Her e-mail is [email protected].
We wrapped up division and will be moving on with fractions. We continue to study the SE States in social studies, and if all goes as planed we will begin building our cars in science on Thursday. Students are loving the hands-on exploration/design with PLTW! After we complete our persuasive paragraphs, we will move on to persuasive essays. Hoping to tie into our science with students writing about the importance of wearing seatbelts.
Hopefully you are in the process of deciding on a question to pursue for the upcoming Science Fair. If you have any questions or need some suggestions, make sure you check out the blog from earlier in the month containing the information along with a schedule. Otherwise, feel free to contact me, and I will do my best to answer your questions and help lead you in the right direction!
