I always enjoy my Tuesdays with the class as I get the opportunity to work with the students all day. Today we started reading a literature piece on the life of Celia Cruz. The students will learn how Celia has shared her cuban heritage with the world through singing.
The students gained a deeper understanding of using mental math methods. The students have done a great job of trying to understand how we can use these methods as a way to solve simple addition and subtraction problems with the strategies we have learned.
Our word of the day today was etiquette. The students discussed how they can use proper etiquette in the classroom and at school. We also discussed the importance of proper etiquette when we use educational technology.
Midterm grades went home today. Please review these grades and turn them back in tomorrow. The assignment notebook code is a bonus of $100 for every student who turns in their signed midterm tomorrow. Enjoy your night and I look forward to another great day of learning!
I am a fourth grade teacher going on my seventh year of teaching. I have truly loved every year that I have taught and I look forward to sharing classroom activities we take part in during this upcoming school year!
