Happy Thankful Weekend! I wish all of the students and their families a Happy Thanksgiving! I am so very, very thankful to have each and every one of you in my life. I am so very blessed to have all the students and their families as part of the classroom.
Today the students finished up their inquiry presentations. We will have a short amount of time on Monday for the students to practice their presentation; however, I will not be providing enough time for the students to work on their presentations.
We also used QR Codes and iPads today to learn about the first Thanksgiving. Many students identified that they learned something new different from the stories we have heard in the past about Thanksgiving. Students also commented that the information we read actually made sense as compared to hearing the stories about having a feast after arriving at Plymouth.
Students used their "baking" skills today as we made a no-bake pumpkin pie and identified what we are thankful for in our lives. You can find the recipe we used below as many students asked me to post this so they can share with their families. The assignment notebook code is for students to identify one thing they are thankful for. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving weekend and I look forward to seeing you on Monday for another great day of learning!
