This Tuesday was a fantastic Tuesday! I want to first apologize for the blog post last night. Weebly is experiencing some technical difficulties and my post was not posted. I will be more diligent to triple check that my post was published!
The students are working hard at finishing their heritage research. We have learned so much about our ancestors and heritage. I look forward to listening to each student share what they have learned about their ancestors.
Our focus for the next couple of weeks in math will be subtraction and addition/subtraction word problems. The students learned how to model a subtraction problem today using place-value disks and charts. I have found most students struggle with subtraction because they do not truly understand what they are doing. The students use the place-value model as a way to show the process of finding the difference between two numbers.
We are getting towards the end of our weather unit in science. The students learned what causes our seasons in the norther hemisphere. The assignment notebook code for tonight is for the students to tell you one factor that causes the seasons. I hope you all enjoy your evening and I look forward to another great day of learning!
