We are now getting in the swing of school and are finally done with all of the reading assessments that I need in order to begin the reading curriculum. We will have a make up time tomorrow for those students who have not completed all of their reading assessments from this week.
The class has now been introduced to all of the important concepts related to understanding the base ten number system. Tomorrow the students will need to transfer these concepts to understanding other base systems. Next week will begin my rotations where I can address each student's needs in order for each student to gain a deeper understanding of our mathematic concepts addressed in fourth grade.
Today's word of the day was adept. The students were able to see our first word of the day video produced by Arrowhead teachers. I will post the video once the video has been cleared through SchoolTube. The assignment notebook code for tonight is for your student to identify what they are adept at doing.
Tomorrow is our Arrowhead Ice Cream Social. I look forward to seeing you all there. Please make sure to come find me some time during the night as I would love to see each student and their families!
