The students learned about how our nation was founded today in our Lead21 book. The students learned how the Wampanoag Tribe lived off of the land through using the natural resources. They also learned how our nation was founded and how we gained our freedom from the British.
The students started learning about measurement today through looking at customary units of weight. We looked at when we would use ounces, pounds, and tons. As a group, students created a presentation showing what they would use to measure the weight of various items in the classroom.
The continued learning about the Northeast region and building their presentation. We learned how democracy helped shaped our nation and why the pilgrims chose to establish a democracy. The assignment notebook code for tonight is for the students to identify what a historian's interest in the Northeast region. A historian focuses on the past, so the students should identify something that happened in the past that helped shape the Northeast region. I hope you all have a great night and I look forward to another great day of learning!
