Reminders:
Today the students started reading about alternative energy sources that are renewable and help us protect the environment. As we continue reading about how to live green, the students will continue to discuss and research different ways we can live that help protect the Earth's environment.
Students continued to learn about the landmarks in Montana as we researched facts regarding the water features of Montana. Students will begin bringing their notebooks home as a way to study for the MT landmarks test next week.
As I reflect on this past quarter, I am so very proud of all of the growth the students have accomplished. We have all worked hard with learning in all subject areas and building a classroom community. As we begin the second quarter, I am going to encourage students to focus on being attentive to the directions and expectations of all assignments. Furthermore, I will encourage all students to work on turning in their assignments when they are due as compared to trying to complete the assignments at the end of the quarter. The purpose of the directions and assignments are for me to gain feedback on what the students know. I would like to be able to see what students know in a timely manner in order to provide beneficial instruction to all students.
Our word of the day today was resilient. The students discussed how we must be resilient in order to learn difficult concepts and to grow in spite of struggles. The assignment notebook code is for your student to tell you why they need to be resilient. I hope you all have a great night and I look forward to a great day of learning!
- Tomorrow is Follow Your Dreams, Don't Do Drugs (dress up in your favorite college team attire)
- Report cards will go home next Tuesday, November 4th with Parent Teacher Conferences being Tuesday morning, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week.
