What a wonderful day! I am so very proud of the respect and performance the students showed today for the 2 Veteran's Day Performances. After the show, I overheard many of the veteran's saying how honored they were to be recognized by this group of students. There were many times in the performance where I was chocked up and in awe of how the students performed! I am so honored to be their teacher!
The students continued to increase their writing abilities today by looking at sentence fluency. We looked at the types of sentences used throughout a passage, how the sentences started, and teh word count for each sentence. We will continue to look at sentence fluency this week and discuss how we can engage our audience better in our writing pieces.
We ended the day celebrating Montana's 125th birthday. We decorated a Montana cookie and the major features of Montana with Mrs. Grewell's class. The kids had a great time and did a great job discussing what we know about our great state. The assignment notebook code is for the students to tell you one decoration on the cookie and what that decoration symbolized. I hope you all have a great night and I look forward to another great day of learning!
